Introducing Leges Motus
For the past 5 months or so, I’ve been working on a project with three other developers. Today, it’s time to start talking about it. Why? We have just open-sourced the code and started a project on Sourceforge.net.
Here’s the SF.net project page and the website for the project.
Leges Motus is a networked, team-based, 2D shooter set in zero-gravity. Using only the force from jumping off of walls and the recoil from their guns, players must travel across the arena to lower their opponent’s gate.
If I do say so myself, it’s rather fun! Here’s a screenshot:
It’s still in alpha – we will release a public beta once we have a server browser done. Expect updates soon. Meanwhile, if you’re so intrigued that you want to check out the project *right now*, you can always get the code from the SF.net svn repository (actually, it’s not quite uploaded yet, but within the next few days it will be there).
I’d like to thank my fellow developers AGWA, Archaemic, Daemar, and DJS (who will no longer have time to work on the project in the future, but he was very helpful while he did) for making this all possible. You’ll hear more from us as development continues.
